Hello friends and bimbos!
I hope you are all ready for Christmas! I know I am! To celebrate the holiday season BimboBin will be having a variety of events and goodies for you to enjoy. To start, we present to you the first BimboBin advent calendar! Every day starting December 1st until Christmas a new BimboBin resource item will be reveled to you. The resources will be created by some of your favorite BimboBin designers. Every day a new design is released, but you can only get it that day! After the day has gone by, the design will be taken down from the site until December 26th – when all designs will be released for good. So be sure to check this blog post every day to see the new design resource and any other updates (I will be editing this post with new information concerning Christmas BimboBin contests and events).

A little more about me: well, what’s there to tell? I like animals. I adore cats and mad about horses. Love art and fashion. And I’m a videogames geek.
INTERVIEW:
How long have you been a member of MissBimbo? I’ve been on and off of MB few times before. But I stuck this time for 515.
What’s your favorite aspect of MissBimbo? Drawing and designing.
How long have you been editing? I don’t Edit Since I do everything from scartch. I’ve started with computer graphics almost 5 years now.
What inspired you to start editing? When I came back to MB I didn’t know people started to do contest and edit or draw. One of my friends there suggested that I praticipate on an anime contest. I thought I had to cosplay my bimbo. I was at an early level, so, not enough bd. My friend told me I could edit. I took editing literally. I thought I had to edit an existing item cause it’s the way it’s done there. So, I made something with few items used from nines. I didn’t take the whole thing seriously at the time and most of the things I made were speedies. But after a while when I understood that I have the freedom to do whatever I want, I began to take it seriously and take the time to create my designs.
What inspired you to start making backgrounds? Well, even though I only made one, I’d say that MB doll is what inspired me.
Do you edit your backgrounds from scratch? Or start with a base image? I draw everything myself. Editting has to be on an existing media. I wish if we would use edit more specifically.
What’s your favorite thing about editing? I get to finish it in short time compared to painting.
What artistic outlets do you have outside of MissBimbo? Drawing, painting, designing fashion and jewelry.
What’s your favorite thing to edit? IE faces, poses, backgrounds, clothing, hair, etc… I don’t know. each one complement the other to me. except for backgrounds. I’d rather do one when I want to use it. It needs more work and I have to be in the mood ^^”
How did you come up with your screen name? It’s a combination of my favourite Tekken girls’ names.
How long does an edit generally take you? It depends on what I’m working on. Maybe 6 hours at least.
What sort of color palette do you prefer to work with? Any, except neon colors. I don’t use them a lot and when I do, it have to in small doeses!
How would you describe your style of editing? I had to sit back here and think… I don’t know.
What sort of things do you do to improve your editing? Anything. If I have to mess everything up to fix one thing I’ll do it and then re-eorganize it all over again. I’d rather experiment and take my time with what I do. I like to read and wacth tutorials from time to time too. I also like to look at my work for few minuts from sometimes. It helps me see my mistakes so I can try to fix and avoid them in the future.
What editors do you admire on MB and why? MaynaBaby. she has a very unique style. I like her coloring tecnique and how she always thinks outside the box. Jelena19, I admire how she has improved in a short amount of time. her hairstyles are beautifully detailed. Her colthes are always perfectly done. Alb, I used to stalk her to see if she made something new. Hated the fact that she has no blog. Glad she’s on DA! Addidut, I could deiscribe her work with one word “classy”. I also like work from others like Alexzus, Scarletcore, MM07, Blksnobunnie, MissCox, Trillyke. They all are talented and each has there own distinctive style. it’s hard to get into details with everyone (lazeh). There are more ofcourse. Can’t remember everyone!
What editing program do you use? Photoshop CS3.
Where do you get your inspiration for edits? Imagination, nature, histroy, colors.
How do you come up with the ideas for your backgrounds? I was working on a new background lately and this is how I think ofwhat should do. I work on the doll first and after it’s done, I think of what sort of inviornment she would fit into. considering her outfit, makeup and pose. if I want her into a closed space, like a room, I’ll have to look for furniture for inspiration. if I want her into a garden, I look for picture of flowers, trees etc…
Is there any sort of genre you prefer to edit in? Historical, fantasy, haute couture. I also like to create simple and ordinary clothes.
What advice do you have for new editors? Don’t hold yourself back. keep trying and experimenting. and most of all be creative. Don’t follow someones’ footsteps all the time. Express yourself and do what you like, not what people like.
What’s the most important thing you’ve learned about editing? I enjoy it more than I thought I would.
How many hours a week do you spend on edits for MB? Can’t say really.

You must have at least heard of the almighty Oogie or seen some of her beautiful works, and I’m sure many of you love her as much as I do! Oogie has a very unique style and I think my favourite things about her work are her poses and how much detail she puts into her edits, which really does take effort and time. I’m sure many people admire her for that too!
Oogie has always seemed like a helpful person to me, she’s not afraid to say her opinions on things and is amazing at giving advice! Let’s see what she has to say!

Favorite book: Girl 4 is pretty good, the Charlie Parker books are probably my favourite series though.

How long have you been a member of MissBimbo? Over 800 days
What’s your favorite aspect of MissBimbo? The people
How long have you been editing? It was around 214 days that I started
What inspired you to start editing? I don’t actually remember (which seems odd concerning my previous answer but that’s how my mind works)
What inspired you to start making backgrounds? I don’t really. I find it highly frustrating.
Do you edit your backgrounds from scratch? Or start with a base image? From scratch I think, I dunno I haven’t done one in a while.
What’s your favorite thing about editing? It’s cleansing. It gives me room to think.
What artistic outlets do you have outside of MissBimbo? None really, I used to draw but I’ve lost the fine motor skills necessary for it.
What’s your favorite thing to edit? Poses. I dislike the others more. To tell you the truth I absolutely hate every pose and edit I finish, I end up getting frustrated and my pain level raises which makes me hate it more. It’s often only when I look back at them that I see merit in them. (I never said that I needed thought good things when I edit.)
How did you come up with your screen name? Pigeon was taken, and I didn’t think I could get away with Pigeonsgift (it means bird poo) so I walked into my sister’s room and saw her big glow-in-the-dark Oogie Boogie. (and Oogie Boogie, Oogie_Boogie was taken and I forgot to put a capital “o” on Oogie *regret*)
How long does an edit generally take you? It feels like years, it can take from 2 hours to 2 days depending on my hands, not the complexity of the edit.
What sort of color palette do you prefer to work with? Black and white is what I’m comfortable with. I tend to have to ask for other palettes (many thanks to all those who have helped me, I know I can be terribly annoying)
How would you describe your style of editing? People say it’s Oogie-ish. Which makes me laugh, at first I assumed that I was being a grumpybum again, then it was applied to my edits. But I checked UD and found out what Oogie means - It means terribly ugly. So that’s my style, Oogie-ish.
What sort of things do you do to improve your editing? I always compare my edits to similar edits of my favourite editors where possible. They always have brilliant new and different ways to achieve their edits. I’ve also sneakily befriended some so that I can sneak their hints and tips without them getting annoyed…
What editors do you admire on MB and why? Oh this is gonna take a while. Mackiesmommy is a doll and has impeccable techiques. Kcpooh is wonderful both in personality and detail. Maynababy transforms normality into cuteness and little squeals. Horatia’s edits are very precise, and it looks like she doesn’t put a foot wrong. Ilanah is wonderful but is grossly under-confident in her skills. Mariio is very eye catching, and I can’t figure out how she does it. Foxi is amazing, like the fabric is real. Misholina is fantastic and very forgiving when she pairs up with a n00b editor (me), for some reason I always think of Trillyke as being cute. Idril is amazing, I don’t understand why I get this interview before her. Sapharii can do such varied edits. Alyssamoon is a dark horse, you just kinda appeared and I kinda dislike you (just a little bit) for being so fantastic so quickly. MDC is one of the first editors I remember clearly, because I’ve always liked looking at your edits. ALB is as weird as me *little hearts*. BSB is astonishing, and to do it in so few layers *jealous*. I’m terribly bored now, so I’m just gonna list some names, it’s not that I don’t like you as much as the others it’s just that I’m lazy: HIP, Chantillylace, IBA, Missyfrutillitas, MP, Nebby, Rikee69, Scarletcore, Whimsicalringtone, Wachout, Spiderella…I’m sorry if I’ve left someone out.
What editing program do you use? gimp (2) with a bamboo tablet
Where do you get your inspiration for edits? dA, often they start off as copies and I find that I’ve done something tragic and have to rescue it, which transforms it.
How do you come up with the ideas for your backgrounds? It’s usually things that make me smile that I adapt.
Is there any sort of genre you prefer to edit in? erm, I dunno. “Oogie-ish?”
What advice do you have for new editors? When you have the basics down (visiting tutorials etc) try sketching your plan before starting. It makes the logistics so much easier to work out without losing a lot of work. Also visiting blogs and spying on the competion is also a good (but slightly evil) thing to do.
What’s the most important thing you’ve learned about editing? Edit for kicks not to win. That is the only way you can get enough practise to get good enough to actually win anything.

These are the summer ball designs, the ball has now turned into more of a “Halloween Costume Ball” because summer is well.. over. And, Halloween and the BimboBin Magazine – Halloween edition is coming up. These designs will be featured in the magazine, and the winners will be featured there as well – with coressponding interviews.
Only one person can win for each category (no one can win twice for the 5 themed categories). So if someone wins for most sexy, then most creative – the second place winner for creative will win for that category instead. Change is coming! I am thinking of redo-ing BimboBin’s entire look early next year some time. So, I’d like to give you all color options to choose from.
I have listed 11 different color schemes to choose from, please choose your favorite 3! The poll closes November 15th, so you have plenty of time to choose. I’d like you to think hard about it and make a wise choice. On November 15th I am going to take the top 5 from this list and make a new poll, this final poll will decide the winning color scheme!
